All Saints Mudeford
All Saints Church is the Parish Church of Mudeford near Christchurch in Dorset.
We are a friendly community of people passionate about sharing the love of Christ who look forward to meeting and welcoming you. The nearby Quay and beaches are always busy with visitors to this picturesque area. People in the church play an active role in the local community.
All Saints was originally built in 1869 so we had celebrations for our 150th Anniversary in 2019. The Parish includes High Cross Church, Amethyst Road, Somerford which we share with the URC Church.
On July 2022, All Saints church caught fire and was completely gutted, along with the adjacent church hall. The church continues to operate in rented premises; Stanpit Village Hall on Sundays and St John’s, Purewell on Wednesdays.
Plans to rebuild the church are well underway with planning permission being sought. When the rebuild is complete, the Church will look like it does today, but with a new accessible entrance on the West end. If all goes well, the new church could be in use from early 2026 – later than we all want but the earliest realistic timescale.
In 2023, All Saints Parish was linked with St Luke’s Burton to become the River Mude Benefice. The new Vicar of the Benefice, Reverend Kathryn (Kathy) Hicken was inducted at the beginning of January 2024. In the coming months the shape of the new benefice will become clearer but All Saints will continue to welcome all comers as before.
